Why do I keep getting disconnected when checking my email in Outlook Express?

If you are getting disconnected after you check your email in Outlook Express, you probably have 'Hang up after sending and receiving' checked. You can uncheck it by following these steps:
 
Open Outlook Express
Click on Tools at the top
Click on Options
Click on the Connection tab at the top
Uncheck Hang up after sending and receiving
Click Apply at the bottom
Click OK
