| Click on Start |
| Click on Control Panel |
| Click on Network and Internet Connections |
| Click on Network Connections at the bottom of the screen |
| On the left side of the screen click on Create a New Connection |
| A Connection Wizard will open |
| Click on Next at the bottom |
| This screen should have Connect to the Internet selected |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| On this screen, click Set up my connection manually |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| Connect using a dial up modem should already be selected |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| For the ISP name, type in AlaWeb |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| For the phone number, type in the correct dial-up number for your area |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| Enter your username and then enter your password in the next two lines |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| Click on Finish |
| A connection box will open |
| Click on Cancel |
| To configure the dialer, right click on the AlaWeb icon and left click on properties |
| Click on the Networking tab at the top |
| Click on the Settings button |
| Enable Software Compression should be the only thing checked |
| Click on OK |
| Click on OK at the bottom of the Networking tab |
| Click the Back button at the top one time |
| Click on Internet Options |
| Click on the Connections tab at the top |
| In the box, you should have AlaWeb (default) |
| Below that, you will have 3 sentences |
| Select Always dial my default connection |
| Click on Apply at the bottom then on OK |
| Close the Control Panel window |
