| Click on Start |
| Go to Settings |
| Click on Control Panel |
| Double click on Network and Dial Up Connections |
| Double click on Make New Connection icon |
| A Connection Wizard will open |
| Click on Next at the bottom |
| On this screen, select Dial-up to the Internet |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| On this screen, select I want to set up my Internet connection manually |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| "I connect through a phone line and modem" should be selected |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| For the phone number, type in the correct dial-up number for your area |
| Use area code and dialing rules should not be checked |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| Enter the username and then enter the password |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| For the Connection name enter AlaWeb |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| Select No to set up an Internet mail account |
| Click Next at the bottom |
| Click on Finish |
| A connection box will open |
| Click on Cancel |
| Right click on the AlaWeb icon and left click on properties |
| Click on the Networking tab at the top |
| Click on the Settings button |
| Enable Software Compression should be the only one checked |
| Click on OK |
| Click on OK at the bottom of the Networking tab |
| Click the Back button at the top one time |
| Double click on Internet Options |
| Click on the Connections tab at the top |
| In the box, you should have AlaWeb (default) |
| Below that, select Always dial my default connection |
| Click on Apply then on OK at the bottom |
| Close the Control Panel window |
