In the mid 1980's, I had the opportunity to live on the Greek island of Crete for a year and a half. I was fascinated by the people and came to love them, their customs, and wonderful scenery. I traveled the island of Crete extensively, as well as Athens and some of the other islands. I always took photographs. About two years ago, I decided to use my photographs and memories in my paintings. I have completed two series of Greek paintings, nine in all. These paintings have been successful for me and have sold in public and private collections.
