Pet Therapy in Nursing Homes
If you work at a nursing home in Andalusia, please consider requesting the AAHS to bring a special pet to visit with your residents. Pet Therapy is a wonderful activity enjoyed by many senior citizens.

Low Cost Spay Neuter Program
Low income families with pets are encouraged to complete a spay/neuter application at the vet's office of their choice in Andalusia. Dogs and cats can be altered at a greatly reduced cost if the applicant is approved.

Crisis Boarding
The AAHS will temporarily board pets of victims of domestic violence and also assist with the placement of animals which become separated from their owners during times of disaster.

General Pet Ownership Education
We are currently working on a 30 minute program to educate young students about the responsiblities of owning a pet and animal safety. If you are a teacher who is interested in having this program offered in your classroom, please call 427-3508. The program is targeted for implementation in 2008.
