  Bald Eagle Workshop

Date: January 20th - Bald Eagle Workshop
Location: Southern Homes & Gardens - Montgomery Alabama Wetumpka Highway
Time:  1:00 PM
Speaker: Mark Sasser, Program Coordinator Non-Game Wildlife Division of the State of Alabama will be the speaker. Mark played an important part in the restoration of the Bald Eagle in Alabama.

Canoe Trip - Cahaba River - Perry Lake Park

Additional Trips Being Considered

Five Star Plantation in Coosa County to study breeding birds.
This a 5000 acre plantation that is used as a
hunting preserve in winter with diverse habitat. 
Last June we found a Red-throated Loon and nesting warblers.

Solon Dixon Forestry Center near Andalusia.

Bog Garden in South Alabama

Talladega National Forest to search for Crossbills

Camden for Swallow-tailed and Mississippi Kites
Includes trips to the Blackbelt Art Gallery
and Gees Bend to see the quilts.

The Alabama Ornithological Society  has meetings in January, April, and October.
