All the designs on the eggs are totally
(sort of) original. Some are "Original" pictures taken from
design paper towels. The one of the whale, I must admit, is
taken from a picture I saw on the internet. My favorite one,
which I sold, was taken from a 'liquor advertisement' in a
magazine. With a few additions of my own. It was a dove on
a nest. Unfortunately, I don't have a pic of that one :( I
entered some of the first eggs I carved into a local art festival
fair and took second place. If ya don't think that knocked
me over with shock! I didn't run out of eggs, in fact I still
have some. But, summer got so hot, and I just could not stand
working out in the little building with no air conditioning.
I will eventually do some more eggs after I get a respirator
mask and a place to carve and paint them. The extremely fine
dust that is produced makes carving without a 'paint mask'
impossible on the lungs.
