Bulldogs smother Eagles, 55-0

The Brantley Bulldogs racked up their 2nd win of the 2006 season with an impressive 55-0 shellacking over the Pleasant Home Eagles in Bulldog Stadium Friday night. The Bulldogs amazed 48 points in the first half while obtaining their 2nd shutout of the young season. Brantley has a 36-1 regular season record over the last 37 regular season games.

For the Dawgs, Senior Chris Booker had touchdown runs of 16 and 11 yards. Corey Lathan had a 1 yard run for a touchdown plus he also recovered a fumble for a touchdown. Others scoring included Anthony Gulley on a 57 yard run, Landon Morgan on a 22 yard interception, and James Pittman on a 15 yard run. The offensive line composed of Cory Morgan, Shane Haws, Wesley Spivey, Jarad Hall, and Wesley Hall dominated play the entire game.

Defensively, Jeffery Daniels led the Bulldogs with stellar performances coming from Corey Lathan, Justin Wright, Roy L Knighten, Terrell Burnett, Channing Booker, Terry McClain, and Thad Frazier.

The Bulldogs travel to Zion Chapel next Friday night in another Region 2 match-up.
