Bulldogs stroll through McKenize, 42-8

The Brantley Bulldogs picked up their 6th win of the 2006 with no losses in a 42-8 margin of victory over the McKenzie Tigers at McKenzie Friday night. The Bulldogs came in the game ranked as the number 1 team by the Alabama Sports Writers Association in Class 1A, and they secured that ranking even though they had a nonchalant peformance against the Tigers from Butler County. The Bulldogs are 4-0 in region play and they extend their Region 2 win streak to 32 consecutive games since 2001.

The Bulldogs were paced by Chris Booker with 162 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns, including one on a 32-yard reception from Jonathan Helms. James Pittman had five carries for 105 yards and one touchdown, and Anthony Gulley contributed three touchdowns and 82 yards in his role as backup quarterback.

Brantley entertains Providence Christian from Dothan Friday night for the Bulldogs "Homecoming Game".
