When you have downloaded and installed your FTP program, select here for an online tutorial on how to connect and send your files to your account directory at ftp.alaweb.com. You can also view SmartFTP screenshots here and here which depict a typical AlaWeb setup. AlaWeb strongly suggests that you name the first page of your HomePage file index.html. You can rename the file to the html extension after you have finished transmitting. When you have finished transmitting your files to our server, open your browsing software, type http://www.alaweb.com/~your_username in the location window, then press Enter to view your HomePage on the Web! |
