With DIRECTV, all customers with accounts in good standing can order pay per view and add premium services by subscription. All customers also receive digital music channels. Cable customers with analog service may not have these options.

nationwide. With cable, new products are introduced in one market or region at a time.

Depending on where you live, cable may not even offer high-definition or DVR services.

DIRECTV® DVR lets you pause, rewind and record any program you like – giving you

immediate control over live TV.* Video on Demand limits you to what the cable company eventually puts in its VOD library. With DIRECTV® DVR, you only pay a $5.99/mo. DVR service fee. If you have the TOTAL CHOICE® PREMIER package, the fee is waived. Some cable companies charge a high

monthly fee for DVR equipment rental in addition to a DVR service fee.
